When water starts coming through a ceiling at 2 a.m., the person who shows up matters more than the logo on the truck. Our Los Angeles crew has been handling flooded condos in Koreatown, hidden mold in Silver Lake bungalows, and water-damaged hardwood in Pasadena craftsman homes since 2006. What unites us isn’t a corporate training manual. It’s a shared habit of showing up on time, explaining things in plain English, and treating every home like it belongs to someone who’s having a bad week. Because it does.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Blake Sorensen, Owner & Lead Restoration Technician
Blake founded Wendell Restoration Los Angeles in 2006 after spending five years working commercial water-loss sites and watching too many homeowners get talked into tear-outs they didn’t need. He holds IICRC certifications in water damage restoration and applied structural drying, and he’s the first person to tell you that psychrometric drying just means tracking the air’s moisture level so we know when your home is truly dry, not just surface-dry. Blake still runs the moisture meters on the big jobs himself. If you call with a question about your drying plan, there’s a good chance you’ll talk to him directly. He’s the reason every job includes a written price before work starts and a 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. When he’s not on a job site, he’s usually trying to keep a 1972 Chevy pickup running, which he’ll admit is a project that never ends.
Marcus T., Senior Lead Technician
Marcus has been with Wendell Restoration Los Angeles for eleven years, and he’s the technician we send when a job involves multiple rooms, affected hardwood, or a ceiling that’s partially collapsed. He’s certified in water damage restoration and mold remediation through the IICRC, and he knows how to run Dri-Eaz and Phoenix drying equipment without turning a living room into a wind tunnel. Marcus is the guy who’ll walk you through exactly where the water traveled, why it stopped where it did, and what the next three days should look like based on the moisture readings. He lives in the San Fernando Valley and coaches his daughter’s youth soccer team. Rumor has it he can identify most residential plumbing failures by sound alone. That’s only half a joke.
Ana R., Service Coordinator
Ana is the voice on the other end of the phone when you call at midnight or 11 a.m. on a Sunday. She’s been coordinating restoration crews in Los Angeles for eight years and has a system for getting a technician to your door with a live arrival time you can track, not a vague four-hour window. Ana handles the scheduling, the insurance documentation questions, and the “is my adjuster going to need photos of this?” conversations. She’s the reason the phone at Wendell Restoration Los Angeles is answered by a live person, 24/7. Before restoration, Ana worked in hospital administration, and it shows: she’s unflappable at 3 a.m. and allergic to letting details slip. She’ll text you a digital invoice before you hang up the phone on most jobs.
Danny R., Restoration Technician Apprentice
Danny joined the crew two years ago through a referral from a trade school in the South Bay. He’s working toward his IICRC water restoration certification under Marcus and Blake, and he handles a lot of the physical setup: laying floor mats, staging XPOWER air movers, setting up containment on mold jobs so spores don’t travel to the rest of your house. Danny grew up in Los Angeles and knows the neighborhoods, which helps when traffic turns a twenty-minute drive into an hour. He’s the reason every technician who walks through your door arrives in a uniform, background-checked, with a name you know before the doorbell rings. Danny’s also the one who texts you the before-and-after photos from the job site, so you can see exactly what we’re doing even if you can’t be home.
One Standard, Every Job
The crew at Wendell Restoration Los Angeles is independently owned and operated, part of the Relay Home Co. family. That means we run our own shop, set our own schedule, and know our own neighborhoods. It also means every job follows the same non-negotiables: a written price before any work starts, a written guarantee on every repair, and a free second visit if the repair fails. Our technicians use the same professional restoration equipment on a Koreatown apartment that large commercial loss sites use: Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry. We work under IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards, not because the letters look good on a website, but because they’re the difference between a home that feels dry and a home that actually is dry. The 365-Day Done Right Promise isn’t a slogan. It’s in writing on every single job, and everyone on this page has signed their name to it at least once.
